"I'm Like A Classic Movie"
Growing up I remember sitting at my Great Grandmother’s feet as she pulled out her old plastic shopping bag full of pictures. It was how she shared stories and kept her memories alive. I use to love seeing her in her “prime era”. She was beautiful, classic and talented, she was a healer who held many gifts.
My biggest dream is to see my stories play out on the big screen, to create “Black Classics” like Spike Lee and John Singleton. I’ve always had an old soul, music, movies, style and vintage decor have always been my thing.The studio’s design is inspired by just that! Old movie scenes, BTS, the vintage movie theater and all of our favorite classics. It’s Old School, holding artifacts from as far back as the 1920s. You’ll get to experience our stories here at Soulo Studios, in the "Heart" of Del Ray.
Story Time...
About 2yrs ago Del Ray became a place where I could breathe and fall into solitude. It was the one place my daughter and I could retreat and find inner peace. I came with intention of nurturing our souls during a time of complete turmoil. We would embrace the sun, laughter and smells of joy in the community. We’d share amazing food over a sippy cup and glass of rose as I became clear of those moments being the beginning of Del Ray becoming HOME.
Its a full circle experience as SOULO Studios creates a lasting HOME here in the Del Ray community. We are forever grateful and welcome all of you to our HOUSE as we do our very best to create a retreat of love and comfort for everyone to feel welcomed in!
